The Opportunity
Puig has embraced the digital era and has advanced many leading consumer-facing digital solutions across its brands and markets organization. As we prepare for the next phase of our plan, we seek a motivated Front-End Optimization and Accessibility Consultant at Puig group level.
The individual will focus on providing support for managing projects and technical solutions related to Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and will play a critical role in ensuring our digital assets are optimized for performance, user experience, and accessibility. You will provide expert guidance, conduct assessments, and implement solutions to enhance front-end performance and accessibility compliance.
The key internal stakeholders for this position are the brands project managers, the Frontend Technology Product Owner, and other members of the Digital Technology team.
What you´ll get to do
Help the Frontend Technology Product Owner with the maintenance and development of new projects related to Direct-to-Consumer (DTC).
This will include:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of our digital platforms to identify front-end optimization opportunities and areas for accessibility improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize front-end performance, including code efficiency, caching, and asset optimization.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure adherence to best practices and standards for front-end optimization and performance.
- Provide expert guidance on web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, ADA) and ensure compliance across digital properties.
- Conduct audits and accessibility testing, identifying accessibility barriers and recommending remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure accessible design considerations are incorporated into the user interface.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to front-end optimization and accessibility.
- Provide consultancy services to stakeholders, offering insights, recommendations, and actionable strategies.
- Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops to educate teams on front-end optimization and accessibility best practices.
- Monitor and report on the performance and accessibility metrics of digital initiatives, providing data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
We´d love to meet you if you have
- Proven experience as a front-end developer or consultant, with a focus on optimization and accessibility.
- In-depth knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and best practices for optimization and performance.
- Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, ADA) and experience with accessibility testing and remediation.
- Proficiency in front-end optimization techniques, including code optimization, performance monitoring, and asset management.
- Familiarity with accessibility evaluation tools and assistive technologies commonly used by individuals with disabilities.
- Passion for staying updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in front-end optimization and accessibility.
- Experience working with different digital agencies, software vendors, and consulting environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address front-end performance and accessibility issues.
- Experience in SCRUM and agile project management models
- Experience in Luxury/Cosmetic/FMCG/Retail industry is a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Web Development, Human-Computer Interaction) or equivalent practical experience.
Languages
English and Spanish full professional proficiency. French will be a plus.
